Both players have proven to be a solid foundation to the Rapids. We are glad that we get to see our favorite players gain more experience before our eyes. I am pretty sure everybody agrees that 2008 was a decisive year for Cummings who took his young career to an international level and has become an asset to both the Jamaican National Team and of course the Rapids. Ihemelu has in my point of view one of the best opportunities you can ask for, to play and represent the US National Team. His impressive effort throughout these years with the Rapids will make him an invaluable player. With our passionate devotion to the Rapids, Legion will make sure all of our players know that we support them and wish them the best of this season. One of our banners for 2009 has the well know slogan “SI SE PUEDE” (Yes we can) With Ihemelu defending and Cummings attacking and scoring, Rapids will go to the playoff this year.
